Receipe for homemade Christmas decorations

Think easy and especially fun to make with (your) kids...

1. Take a walk through nature or a park, and collect interesting small branches and pinecones. Good texture is key here. Size not so much, depends where you want to hang them later on.

2. Use any sort of ribbon, string; buy or use ones you have lying around. You can coordinate them by feel or color; bold or suttle, mainly whatever you like or ties in with your other Christmas decorations.

3. Tie ribbon to cone or small branche. Make it different lenghts as it creates interest to your display.

4. Add chirstmas tree decoration. I have used these tiny balls as they add that season sparkle. Stars, bells, small Santas, anything.

5. Hang with a couple in front of your window, or any where you find suitable like for instance your fireplace.

There are infinite variations on this theme. Spray the cones, bundle a couple on one string... The point is to have fun and enjoy the season.
